We’re especially excited to welcome a crucial addition to our Posse— a Chief Strategy Officer, John Blach. John joins us with a bounty of experience, an approachable charm, and so much more. Read along to hear about his secret to success, why he believes Prominent stands out from other IT staffing and custom software development companies, and about his goals for the future.

Let’s Start at the Beginning

John’s advice for someone beginning their career:

Set short and long-term goals.

Don’t stress over the little things.

Be punctual.

We agree! Everyone should take heed to these tidbits of advice, but the biggest lesson to learn from a guy who has been in the industry for 20+ years is that relationships are the key to a successful career.

Throughout his career, John has created strong bonds with businesses like Fiserv, Koch and BCBS of NE that will last a lifetime. These businesses have stood out from others that he’s worked with for one key reason — their value in relationships. Externally, they partner with their clients to form long-lasting relationships, resulting in more opportunities for both parties. Internally, when company culture takes precedence, colleagues build relationships and trust is formed, ensuring long-term success. This was something John easily recognized in our sweet North Dakotan company.

We asked John about his first impression of Prominent. Without hesitation, he described Prominent as, “a place that truly cares about their people and the clients they serve.” He continued to add that it was clearly a fun place to work and that Prominent has shown to be a company with integrity that is focused on bringing in top talent to deliver world-class solutions to its clients. John’s amiable approach to business development is what made him successful in his roles at Experis, TEK Systems, and Capstone Consulting. With his years of experience, he brings a fresh perspective on how Prominent can partner with clients to help them achieve and exceed their goals. Beyond this, he plans to expand the internal business development and recruiting teams in a manner that aligns with Prominent’s core values. And lastly, in true Prominent fashion, have fun doing it!
